How it works
How a record is made, and why you can trust it
Not a new cadastre: a public, signed history of what happens on each lot.

The life of an entry
Every change follows the same path. Nothing is edited after it's anchored; each step is a new signed record.
01
Declared
The owner or their contractor signs what changed, with plans. Anchored on-chain.
02
Under review
The lot shows the change as pending. It's already public.
Attested
An inspector signs that it matches the site and the zone.
Variance
Outside a rule, accepted by the municipality. The rule is named.
Disputed
The inspector signs a reason. The lot shows a violation until corrected.

The zoning rules used by the demo
Measured on the plan itself. Garages, sheds and workshops need only 1 m from side and rear lines.
| Zone | Use | Coverage | Height | Units | Setbacks (front / side / rear) |

What's stored where
On-chain
Content hash, signer and role, block and time. Enough to prove nothing was altered.
IPFS
Plans, photos and inspection reports. A changed file gets a different CID.
The municipality
Names, contact details, and which wallet is whom. Never published.
What this demo doesn't do
- No real chain, wallet or IPFS: everything is simulated in your browser and saved there.
- One fictional neighbourhood, drawn by hand. No map tiles, no geocoding.
- No ownership transfers, titles or mortgages: that stays with the land registry.
- No identity verification: the three demo identities come pre-verified.
